We're Coming Home!

We are so excited to be coming home! We will do what the hospital calls "Rooming In" tomorrow and then come home Sunday. Rooming In is where they have us stay in a hotel room there in the NPCU and make sure we are able to take care of Bella's needs.

Bella lost a little weight Wednesday because she stated taking all feeds by bottle, but then she gained some of it back yesterday as her body adjusted. Last night she was 4lb 11oz.

We have the stroller and car seat and the car seat safety expert from the hospital helped us install it. Since Bella is not quite the 5lbs our car seat calls for we are going to bring her home and then not take her out in it much until she reaches 5lbs or more. The crazy thing is she is long enough that she actually fits in it pretty well it's just the weight that is the problem (see pictures).

Bella has actually started getting a little fussy when we don't feed her fast enough. She has been waking up when it is time to eat and is ready to go as soon as we can get her bottle ready. Of course her fussy is just a little mousy squeaks, maybe a few short cries, but nothing over the top.

Robyn, As a CPST (Carseat lady) I think she looks great in the carseat. While weight is important, snugness is key, and she looks nice and snug. So glad she's going home! Congrats!!!

Yea for Bella! Robyn, I am sooo happy she has progressed enough to go home! She is so precious and I loved your mentioning that her fussy was really little squeaks! (Our Alli use to squeak like that, too!) We will continue to keep all of you in our prayers!

Yeah! I'm so happy to hear this news...I knew the day would come. I hope all is going well.

Robyn - do you have another email address? The only one I have is your Glenlake one. When you get a free minute, can you email me?
