Walking in the Nursery

Bella walked for the nursery workers at bible study today and then she walked across the room to me when I came to pick her up. Very exciting! Also, please keep, Ann, Grant's mother in your prayers she is having her hip replaced today for the second time. We are praying for a quick recovery, for it to relieve the pain she has been having and for it to last.

First Steps

Bella walked the length of our house yesterday! Of course I wasn't here to see it, but Grant called me right away to tell me. They had been outside swinging and when they came inside Grant put her down to wash his hands. That made Bella mad and she followed him all the way to the kitchen! Of course when I got home we could only get her to take a few steps, but at least we're getting some where!

Temper Tantrum

Today we had our first knock down, drag out temper tantrum in the middle of a store. Bella was riding in the cart at Michael's and mean Mommy wouldn't let her chew on the straps to the cart so she started pitching a fit. I tried everything I could think of to get her to settle down. Finally I had to just leave the basket with everything in it and go to the car. I wasn't embarrassed just mad!

Ponytails

First set of Ponytails! Aren't they cute!

We're Getting There!

Bella took 4 or 5 steps, by herself, several times today. She screamed each time like she was going down a slide or something, but seemed proud of herself. The anticipation is so exciting! Everyday you wonder if this is the day she is going to just stand up and take off.

Reading

Once again reading came to the rescue! Bella hates to have her diaper changed so since she was playing with this catalog before hand I let her bring it with her to the changing table. This picture was too funny to pass up! I started crying I was laughing so hard. She looks like a little grown up!

Carwash Solution

Every time Bella and I take the car through the car wash she screams at the top of her lungs. Today was no different. We hadn't even made it in before she started crying. Luckily we had bought some new books this morning so I got one out and started reading it to her and it calmed her down. Whew! I'm so glad I found something. Of course next time it won't work, but at least we had peace today!

So Close

I know I keep talking about how close Bella is to walking, but she really is going to walk any day now. I can just feel it! She is starting to stand on her own more often when she is not paying attention and wants to use both hands for something. Then today she walked all the way from in front of the sanctuary at our church, down the steps and to the car holding on to only one of my fingers. That may not mean much to those of you who haven't been to our church, but it's a really long way and she was steady as a rock, even walking down the steps! Then we went to get my allergy shot and she walked in with me, stood while I got my shot and walked back out. She was so proud of herself! I can't wait to see her face when she actually takes off on her own!

First Steps

Bella took four steps last night! We are on our way! Of course we can't get her to do it again. I think the first time was by accident and she is too smart to be fooled again!
