Friends

The Glen Lake Girls all got together with our newest members of the family. It was a great time of fellowship and baby passing. In the picture of all three of them, the baby on the left is 2 months old, Bella is in the middle and is 3 1/2 months old and a week older than the baby on the right.

It's been interesting taking Bella in public because when ever people ask how old she is I have to explain that she came early because everybody knows she doesn't look like a 3 month old. I was thinking today though that we are going to get our money's worth out of her car seat since she'll be in it twice as long. :)

In the picture of Bella with her giraffe we went to the playground with some friends and I didn't have her pacifier so we had to make due with Mr. Giraffe's ear. She didn't seem to mind. :)

Bella has become a regular church attender her. She sits through the service quite nicely. Of course she squeaks now and then and it seems so loud to me, but others have assured me that I'm just sensitive because it's my daughter. She seems to really like the music. She quiets down when we start singing and stays awake.

Coolest Thing

The coolest thing happened today. I was in Target and the lady behind me in line was admiring Bella (of course!:)) so we talked a little about how early she came and what a miracle she is. Then as I'm putting my shopping cart in the return cart area she walks up and hands me a Target gift card. She said she just wanted to give a little something to such a precious baby! Wow! People always surprise you!

The pictures are from my friend Cari's house with her daughter Lauren. I'm sure she has already posted these pictures on her blog, but I'm just proud that they are going up at all! :)

Skeet Range, Daddy Daughter Time, Halloween

I'm having a hard time coming up with things to write about that other people would find interesting. I really just like to share my pictures. :) But here is a little background for the ones I'm posting.

Weekend before last we went to Brownwood to visit family and Bella was once again entertained by her cousins. Henley was reading to her and Holden was passing out kisses again. :) It really is sweet to see how good her cousins are to her.

Bella's head has gotten a little flat on one side so we are trying to do as much tummy time as possible. She doesn't always like it so Mom and Dad like to try and entertain her as much as possible. This scene was just too cute not to capture on film.

This Halloween was our first in a neighborhood. Bella and I sat out in the driveway passing out candy to all of the trick-or-treaters that came by. Of course Bella was the cutest one out there! We had two costumes to choose from so we just wore them both. :) Lots of people commented on her size and were shocked to learn she was 3 months old. Whenever we tell someone that they automatically ask if she was premature. She looks so big to us we forget how small she must look to everyone else.

I'm going on one of my big scrapbooking retreats this weekend so Grant will have Bella by himself. I'm actually not worried about him, I'm more worried about how I'll handle being away. I may just have to have them come up for a short visit on Saturday.

Oops! I Forgot!

Can't believe I forgot to mention that Bella weighed 7lb. 1-oz and was 19 in. long at her last doctor's visit.

Pumpkin Patches and Doctors

Weekend before last Grant, Bella and I met Grandpa Garvin and step-aunt Claire at a pumpkin patch in Flower Mound that my friend Cari suggested. It was quite the production! Mazes made out of Hay, food vendors, blow up slides, and of course pumpkins! My main goal was to find the little cauldron that said "My First Pumpkin Patch". I had seen pictures of Cari's kids in it. As you can see I got my picture, but we also had to make sure and get a picture of Grandpa on the John Deer tractor! Then it was off to pick out pumpkins and finally to pose for a family photo.

We also had doctor visits last week. Bella got all of her shots and she did so well! She of course cried in the beginning, but stopped quickly. The nurse and I commented that unfortunately she is probably used to being poked from being in the hospital so it didn't shock her. Thank goodness those days are behind us! Everything else checked out fine so we don't have to go back to the doctor for a month.

Good News

We went to the opthamologist yesterday and everything checked out fine. He doesn't need to see her back for 9 months. Very good news! Grandpa came by doesn't she look so small?! Hard to belive that is so much bigger!

Growing Like a Weed

We went to the doctor yesterday to be weighed and Bella is now 6lb 9oz! The nurse also commented on how long she was so Grant and I measured her last night and she is 19 in. long (she was 15 in at birth). I also put her in her first New Born out fit. Actually it was a couple because her premie diapers are now leaking. I can't belive how big she is already! She is still a sweetie though, just look at the sweet picture of her on my chest.

The elephant picture is to show her growth compared to when we took her picture with it in her car seat.

Tomorrow we go to the opthamologist to make sure her eyes are growing the way they should.
